The Skein Nut Threaded Insert is a self-tapping, non-flanged fastening solution designed to provide a strong, reusable thread in hardwood and softwood timber, featuring an external thread for secure grip and an internal thread for machine screws or bolts. Made from corrosion-resistant die-cast zinc, it offers excellent pull-out resistance, helps reduce timber splitting and allows fast, easy installation with a flush or recessed finish.

Recommended Material Thickness Guide
For best results, install in timber or panel materials with a minimum thickness equal to the insert body length and a recommended maximum thickness of around twice the insert body length. Thinner materials may not fully support the insert, while thicker materials may benefit from a longer insert for improved holding strength.
