Closed End Rivets - Aluminium/Steel
Brands you know and trust - Marson
Sealed rivet with a completely closed-off head - Aluminium Steel.
Compared to an open-end rivet of the same size and material, closed-end rivets provide better shear and tensile strength. These aluminium steel rivets are characterised by being sealed on one side along with better pin retention, giving the closed end rivet an advantage over an open-end rivet.
Rivets are a fast & easy to use, low-cost fastener that work well for joining many different types of material, including thin sheet metals, composites and so much more. Ideal for light weather resistant application up to 100 psi, or if water is an issue consider a weatherproof Bulb-Tite rivet. Want to understand rivets better? Check the rivet blog.
Sealed Closed End Rivets.
Closed end rivets have a cup shaped end configuration that eliminates water ingress from within the body of the rivet, but not between the outside of the body and the material. Many customers purchase sealed rivets believing they are 100% waterproof, unfortunately this perception is not entirely correct. A closed-end rivet compared to an open-end rivet of the same size & material, provides better shear and tensile strength.
Sealed Rivet Advantages.
- Low installation cost.
- One side application.
- Weather resistant.
- Tamper proof.
Sealed Rivet Applications.
- Builing & Construction.
- Motor body builders.
- Electrical switchboards & appliances.
- Sheet metal industries.
- And so much more.
